The Clarity Glow Mocktail
The Clarity Glow: A Zero-Sugar Citrus Mocktail Made With Klarity Orange
By Tavo | Klarity | 1 serving | Under 5 minutes
There's a version of this drink at every overpriced brunch spot with a three-word name and something vague written about it on the menu. Glow. Boost. Refresh. You order it, it arrives looking beautiful, and it's mostly fruit juice and sugar syrup with a garnish that took more time than the recipe.
This is not that.
The Clarity Glow is built around Klarity Orange — six electrolytes, a full B complex, Vitamin C, zero sugar — combined with fresh carrot juice, fresh orange juice, and sparkling water. The golden colour is entirely natural. The flavour is genuinely good. And what's in it actually supports the way you want to feel: hydrated, clear-headed, and not running on caffeine and wishful thinking.
It takes under five minutes, looks like you tried harder than you did, and photographs well enough that you'll want to make it specifically for that reason. Make it for a slow morning, a late afternoon, or any occasion that calls for something in your hand that isn't another coffee.
Why This Mocktail Works
Most mocktails are soft drinks with better PR. They swap alcohol for sugar, colourings, and flavour syrups, and call the result a healthy choice. The Clarity Glow is different in one specific way: the base isn't juice or syrup — it's Klarity.
Klarity Orange provides six electrolytes — sodium, potassium, magnesium glycinate, chloride, calcium, and phosphorus — alongside a full B complex and Vitamin C. No sugar. No artificial anything. The electrolytes support cellular hydration in a way plain water and juice alone don't, and the B complex and Vitamin C support the energy metabolism and immune function that most drinks in this category gesture toward without delivering.
Fresh carrot juice brings beta-carotene, natural sweetness, and the colour that makes this drink worth putting on a table. It also adds potassium and Vitamin A without contributing significant sugar in the quantities used here.
Fresh orange juice provides additional Vitamin C — which supports collagen synthesis and immune function — and pairs with the Klarity Orange flavour in a way that feels intentional rather than doubled-up.
Sparkling water keeps everything light and fizzy. The carbonation makes this feel celebratory in the way a good drink should without adding anything that doesn't belong.
The result is a drink where every ingredient is doing something. That's the bar.
Ingredients
(Serves 1)
- 1 sachet Klarity Orange
- 240ml sparkling water
- 60ml fresh carrot juice
- 60ml fresh orange juice
- Ice
- 1 orange slice, to garnish
- 1 pinch coconut flakes, for the rim
Directions
Step 1: Rim the glass. Run an orange wedge around the rim of your glass. Spread a small amount of coconut flakes on a flat plate and dip the rim to coat evenly. Set aside.
Step 2: Dissolve Klarity. Pour 240ml of sparkling water into the glass. Add 1 sachet of Klarity Orange and stir gently until fully dissolved. Starting with the sparkling water before adding still liquids preserves more carbonation.
Step 3: Add the juices. Pour in the carrot juice and orange juice. Stir gently to combine — just enough to incorporate without losing the fizz.
Step 4: Ice and garnish. Add ice. Finish with a slice of orange on the rim or rested on top. Serve immediately.
Tips & Notes
Use fresh carrot juice. This is worth repeating. Bottled carrot juice tends to be sweeter, darker, and murkier than fresh-pressed — it changes both the flavour and the colour of the finished drink. If you're making this to enjoy, fresh is better. If you're making it to photograph, fresh is non-negotiable. About 2 medium carrots gets you the 60ml you need.
Fresh orange juice over carton. The same principle applies. Fresh-squeezed orange juice has a brightness that carton juice doesn't, and in a drink this simple, every ingredient is visible.
Coconut rim is optional. If you're keeping it minimal, skip it. The drink holds up without it. If you're serving to others or shooting it for content, the rim adds a visual and textural detail that's worth the thirty seconds.
On the fizz. The order of operations matters here — Klarity in sparkling water first, still liquids after. Pouring sparkling water on top of juice flattens the carbonation significantly. Follow the steps in order and the drink stays lively.
Serve immediately. This one doesn't improve with sitting. Make it when you're ready to drink it.
Variations
Make it a jug. Multiply everything by four or six for a batch — ideal for a table setting or a weekend brunch. Hold the ice and add it per glass to avoid dilution.
Add ginger. A small slice of fresh ginger muddled in the glass before adding the liquid adds a sharp, warming note that works well with the carrot and orange. About a 1cm piece is enough.
Swap sparkling for coconut water. For something less fizzy and slightly sweeter, replace the sparkling water with coconut water. The Klarity still dissolves well, and the coconut flavour pairs naturally with the existing coconut rim.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Klarity Orange taste like?
Klarity Orange is a clean, citrus-forward electrolyte mix with no artificial aftertaste. It's lightly sweet from natural flavouring with no added sugar, and dissolves clearly in sparkling water without changing the colour significantly. In this recipe it pairs naturally with the carrot and orange juice without competing.
Is this mocktail actually sugar-free?
Klarity Orange contains zero added sugar. The small amounts of natural sugar in this recipe come from the fresh carrot juice and orange juice — approximately 7–9g per serving from whole fruit and vegetable sources, with fibre and micronutrients rather than refined sugar. There is no added sugar, no syrups, and no sweeteners in this recipe.
Can I make The Clarity Glow without a juicer?
Yes. Cold-pressed fresh carrot juice is available at most health food stores and good supermarkets. Look for varieties with no added sugar or preservatives. For the orange juice, a hand juicer is enough — one medium orange gives approximately 60ml.
When is the best time to drink this?
The Clarity Glow works well as a morning drink — the Vitamin C and B complex in Klarity support energy metabolism, and the electrolytes address overnight fluid loss. It works equally well as a mid-afternoon drink when energy dips, or as a social mocktail for any occasion where you want something in your hand that isn't alcohol.
Can I use a different Klarity flavour?
This recipe is specifically developed for Klarity Orange, which pairs naturally with the carrot and orange juice. Other Klarity flavours will change the flavour profile and may not complement the citrus and carrot combination in the same way.
Zero sugar. No junk. Feel by design, not by default.
